Coach Milan Ruttkay

Head coach of the Westhampton Swordfish since 2023, with 50 to 75 swimmers each season and three assistant coaches. Private coach on Long Island since 2005.

Before that, fourteen years coaching competitive swimmers in Slovakia, where he founded and ran his own school of swimming. He holds an M.A. in Education.

  • Primary coach of a New York State Champion and All-American in the 100-yard breaststroke.

  • Primary coach of a second New York State Champion.

  • Stroke technique coaching for a swimmer who competed at the U.S. Olympic Trials and placed 27th in the world in the 200-meter backstroke.
